2. Hosting (Cloudflare Pages)
This website is a static website hosted via Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. All requests are served through Cloudflare's global network, which also acts as a content delivery network (CDN) and provides protection against attacks (DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall). In doing so, Cloudflare automatically processes technically necessary data with each request:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of the request
- URL requested
- HTTP status code
- Data volume transferred
- Referrer (previously visited page, if transmitted)
- User agent (browser type and operating system)
This data is processed for the secure, uninterrupted and performant delivery of the content. No own web server with persistent logging is operated; the storage and deletion of connection data lie with Cloudflare.
Cloudflare is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which has been recognised by the EU Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Cloudflare.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, uninterrupted and performant operation of the website).
